Hikma English Reading Programme

Live, after-school English reading lessons built around Arabian Gulf & North African folklore — so children build decoding, fluency, and comprehension through stories that feel familiar.

Powered by Air Reading Science: our structured reading approach that builds skills step by step (not guesswork).

The Air Reading Science Approach

Each class blends cultural familiarity with modern reading science. Children practise reading in a way that builds accuracy, fluency, vocabulary, and understanding — without pressure and without guesswork.

  • Patterned, musical prose supports smoother decoding into fluent phrasing.
  • Micro-routines — sound sort → echo read → scoop → quick retell — build steady success.
  • Vocabulary in context from seafaring, desert, and market life.
  • Comprehension every week: sequence, cause-effect, and thoughtful discussion.
Weekly Flow: Sound warm-up → Echo & duet reading → Scoop for phrasing → Vocabulary wins → Talk & write → Celebration reread.

Placement & Ongoing Assessment

We place children where they’ll succeed.

Your child will be placed into the most suitable group based on skill level — not simply their age. We keep a close eye on progress and adjust group placement when it benefits your child.

Parents are welcome to sit nearby during lessons, so you can see progress and confidence growing week by week.
