Who this programme is for
English For Early Years is for families who want strong English foundations without needing to rely on one nursery, one city or one country.
Children and families
- Children aged 2.5–5 years.
- Children at home or in local / non-English nurseries who may later apply to international or language-stream schools.
- Families who want an affordable, flexible online option with no daily transport or drop offs.
- Parents who find nursery runs difficult because of traffic, work or younger siblings at home.
- Families who move between countries or cities and want a stable early years English programme their child can continue online.
Why early years English matters
Nebras Al Hikma knows that high quality early years education shapes children’s short and long term outcomes. Early years affects school results, ambitions and the opportunities open to a child later on.
We want as many children as possible to benefit from this service, not only those who attend high fee schools or live next to an international nursery.
If your child later has a school interview, they will already recognise much of the language. The main aim, however, is a strong and balanced English foundation, not just passing an interview.
What your child will learn
Over 20 live lessons, children revisit core themes many times. This builds real confidence with everyday English, not just memorised phrases.
Everyday topics
Your child will explore everyday early years themes such as:
- colours, shapes, numbers and counting
- family, home, toys and play
- animals, food and mealtimes
- clothes, weather and simple school words
Skills that grow with them
Children also practise:
- listening and following simple English instructions
- answering short choice questions and using simple sentences such as “I like apple”
- early thinking skills like comparing (big/small, fast/slow) and “find it” tasks
- gentle early phonics and letter awareness for older or ready children
Younger children join in through actions and pointing. Older children start playing with letter names and first sounds.
How the programme runs
Lesson format
- Live online via Google Meet.
- 60 minutes per lesson.
- Small group or one to one.
- Screen-shared pictures, games and movement.
- Children are not expected to sit still for the whole hour. It is normal for them to move around, look away and come back, and they can still be listening. The way we teach takes this into account.
Fees and access
- Cost effective compared to international nursery fees (no transport, snacks or uniforms).
- Pay per 20-lesson cycle and renew if the format suits your family.
- Secure online payment available from any country in the world.
Families we support
- Ideal for families who want international level English exposure from home.
- Works well for children at home, in local nurseries or for families who move countries.
- Suitable for families across Egypt, the Gulf region and beyond.
Who teaches your child
English For Early Years is designed and overseen by experienced educators and therapists with long experience in early years English, international school entry and family work across Egypt and the Gulf.
Our team has over a decade of practical experience running leading nurseries and preschools in the Middle East and consulting in educational settings. We understand how young children learn, how schools assess them and what families in our region need from an early years English programme.
Sessions are structured, warm and practical, with clear routines that children and parents quickly get used to. We know that young children do not stay in one spot on a chair for an hour. Movement, looking away and coming back are expected and built into the way lessons are run so that learning stays realistic and family-friendly.
